Independent Resources, Inc. (IRI) will hold its 11th Annual Disability Ball from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Del. This event brings together many different disabled communities, not only to have a good time, but, perhaps, to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Because many disabled people never had the opportunity to attend a high school prom or other formal event, the Disability Ball was created.
At the Ball, guests enjoy a social hour, seated-served dinner and dancing to the music of the Skinny Leg Pete Band. There also is a 50-50 cash drawing, the crowning of a King and Queen, and a photographer, Martin B. Selby Sr., BenMar Images, to record the event.
Tickets may be purchased by check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard or
Discover) or money order. No cash purchases may be accepted. Receipts and tickets will be mailed within 10 days of purchase – no exceptions!
Groups may reserve tables of 10, but all 10 seats must be purchased in advance. Groups of less than 10 – or less than multiples of 10, e.g., 18 or 28 – will be seated with other attendees.
The Chase Center is located at 815 Justison St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
